Ordering
How do I order a portrait?
Select your preferred artwork size through the Commission a Portrait page and complete checkout through Shopify.
Once your order is confirmed, email your reference photographs to info@artexturestudio.com quoting your order number.
What portrait sizes are available?
Artexture Studio currently offers:
Contemporary Portrait — A4 — AUD $149
Signature Portrait — A3 — AUD $349
Statement Portrait — A2 — AUD $695
What photographs work best?
The strongest portraits begin with strong reference photographs.
For best results:
- Use clear, high-resolution images
- Natural lighting is preferred
- Eyes should be clearly visible
- Multiple photographs are encouraged
- Avoid heavily filtered images
- Avoid screenshots where possible
Can I include more than one subject?
Yes. Portrait pricing includes one subject.
Additional pets: AUD $75 each
Additional people: AUD $95 each
Multiple-subject commissions are welcomed and can be selected during purchase.
Can I commission a portrait as a gift?
Absolutely. Portrait commissions make meaningful gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, memorials, weddings and special occasions.
If the artwork is required by a specific date, please advise this during the ordering process.
Can I commission portraits of pets?
Yes. Pet portraits are one of the most popular commission categories and include dogs, cats, horses and other treasured companions.
Can I commission portraits of people?
Yes. Artexture Studio creates portraits of children, adults, couples and families from supplied photographs.
Artwork Reference Approval
What is Artwork Reference Approval?
Before the final portrait is created, Artexture Studio prepares a digital Artwork Reference showing the intended composition, subject placement and overall direction of the artwork.
This allows you to review and approve the artwork before physical production begins.
Can I request changes?
Yes. One complimentary revision is included during the Artwork Reference Approval stage.
This allows changes to composition, image selection or subject placement before the final artwork is created.
Can I request changes after the artwork has started?
No. Once Artwork Reference Approval has been provided and physical artwork production has commenced, no further changes can be requested.
This ensures every portrait can be completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
How many revisions are included?
One complimentary revision is included during Artwork Reference Approval.
Additional revisions may incur additional charges depending on the complexity of the requested changes.
Timeline & Production
How long does a commission take?
Production times vary depending on artwork size, complexity and current commission volume.
Estimated timing will be confirmed once your photographs have been reviewed.
Priority Service may be available for clients requiring faster turnaround.
What is included in my commission?
Every commission includes:
- Hand-drawn charcoal portrait
- Professional studio development process
- Artwork Reference Approval stage
- Certificate of Authenticity
- Care instructions
- Protective packaging
Is framing included?
No. Artwork is supplied unframed unless otherwise stated.
This allows clients to select framing that best suits their home and personal preferences.
Payment & Refunds
Do I pay before the artwork begins?
Yes. All commissions are paid in full through Shopify at the time of purchase.
Because each portrait is created specifically for the client and cannot be resold, payment is required before work commences.
Are payments refundable?
Because every portrait is custom created, payments become non-refundable once Artwork Reference Approval has been received and artwork production has commenced.
Delivery
Do you ship throughout Australia?
Yes. Artexture Studio ships throughout Australia. Shipping costs are calculated during checkout.
Do you ship internationally?
International delivery may be available upon request. Please contact Artexture Studio before placing your order if international shipping is required.
Privacy & Photography
How do I send my photographs?
After placing your order, email your reference photographs to info@artexturestudio.com.
Please include your Shopify order number in the subject line. Multiple photographs are encouraged.
Will my portrait be shown on the website or social media?
Artexture Studio may request permission to share completed artwork for portfolio and promotional purposes.
Client privacy is respected and artwork will not be shared without consideration of client preferences.
